My job, in very loose sense, involves some curating. I sift and sort through endless piles, looking for objects to add to a collection that is worth spending money on.

It’s pretty weird. Like, when I sit down and really think about it.

The people who spend their money? The people who recycle their unwanted miscellany? Also pretty weird. I like them.

Here’s a little factoid about me: I like Valentine’s Day. I think it’s fun. If you show your loved ones just how loved they are all the time, you can take February 14th for what it is. It’s totally commercial and we all know it. Have some chocolate. Hold hands. Wear lace underthings. Share champagne. Or buy things. Whatever. Embrace it. It’s silly. Sometimes a little silliness is just what we need, especially in the middle of winter (’round these parts).

a couple bits

I have been a little down, lately.

It finally snowed.

I finally finished a novel.

I mailed birthday gifts and green tea marshmallows.

Oh and.

FedEx brought a giant box. My wonderful boyfriend waited at my apartment, while I was at work, for that giant box to arrive. He wrestled that giant box up the stairs and he pulled out a mostly-finished bicycle and then he finished it.

I am eagerly awaiting spring.
